Owen is SEVEN. He celebrated with a few friends from school and then later with Memaw and Sam and Anderson. Happy birthday to our little Owie-poo.
OWEN AT SEVEN, for the record books: Owen is feisty and competitive (interesting considering he's the smallest kid on most of him teams), considerate, funny, capable and self-described as shy. He's sneaky (and he knows it) and clever and curious and perceptive. I call him the bridge between Jacob and Amelia and he really is - he plays happily with Jacob and older friends as well as Amelia and can be so sweet with her one moment reading books to her or getting her a piece of candy, but also gives her the full antagonizing sibling experience the next. He LOVES math and science and reading (chapter books!!) but not writing as much and says he wants to be an engineer, an inventor, or someone who fixes things. We shall see!
School is out for summer and we have a lot of fun things planned, road trips, mom camp, sports camps, beach, and just hanging out doing nothing. Here's a start...
