Farewell 2016, Hello 2017

The holidays came and went. We saw all the grandparents, almost all of our cousins, partied with the Schwartzes, one of us turned 42, and the youngest sorta started preschool (it's a class for the youngest 2 year olds, but who will be the oldest in their grade when they are in grades, follow?, and there's no actual picture evidence yet.). It all went by very fast which gives me hope for how quickly it will be spring again.

 Mike continues to be the oldest in the family.

Just like the days when it was just the four of us on our beach trips.

 Except, not at all like those days, actually. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Took the kids around on a tacky house tour in Richmond. I have yet to find houses around here that take holiday decorating to this extreme. Thank goodness we can count on Richmond.

Heath, Laila and Olivia came to visit with Nana and Papa for a couple days and we played and painted and sprayed each other with silly string, and just had a great time being together.

CHRISTMAS MORNING!! So exciting. The boys woke up at 5am to open their stockings together (and quietly, I might add) the way my sister and I did growing up. Then back to sleep until it was time for everyone to wake up to open presents. Amelia was not having all the picture taking, but note she is wearing the same pjs Owen and Jacob wore when they were two for Christmas. Memories.

We finally got around to visiting Santa. This was Amelia's first time going and she LOVED him. The boys were great and loved seeing her reaction. I wasn't sure what to expect but this was definitely our least chaotic Santa experience EVER. These people just keep surprising me.
