It was a busy month though I don't remember what we actually did except take the boys to lots of basketball practices and games and watch the snow melt. I'm sure there was more to it, but those two things really made an impact. Basketball is now my favorite sport they play. All these little kids (even kindergarteners!?!) dribbling the ball and trying to make baskets, ADORABLE! Some of them actually do and it's quite shocking. Then after their basketball games they come home and play basketball with their neighbors in the driveway for a few more hours. Next we eat dinner for about five minutes. Finally, they go down to the basement with Mike and play indoor basketball with the mini hoops until bedtime. Simplified a little but you get the gist.
Amelia is a little over 14 months. She's solely walking now, went on her first bike ride this weekend (it was like spring), she's consistently inconsistent with naps, she sleeps with lots of blankets, books, two loveys, and her "Piggie" in her bed, and she's entered the separation anxiety phase, yet she calls Aunt Nancy and at least three of my friends "mama" when she sees them and literally screams for them to pick her up...often while I'M holding her. I just play along. At night when I ask her "are you ready for bed" she says "yes" and then heads straight for the stairs. When I ask if she's hungry she stops what she's doing, says "yes", and makes a beeline for the high chair. When I ask her to get her shoes, she finds them and brings them to me. She always seems to know where her shoes are...she loves her shoes. These are the things that come to mind for Amelia at this age.
