Er...March

Wow, March came and went so fast! So fast and so cold.

 

The meteorologists went crazy over our first predicted HUGE snowstorm of the winter!  So that morning, with school canceled, I found myself waking up the neighbors dragging Owen on the sled up the completely clear asphalt road to the park near us with a hill while explaining to Jacob that the heaviest snowfall was expected a little later according to my hourly weather report.  We returned home totally soaked, thanks to the slush on portions of the road, but still optimistic.  Then later happened and the snowstorm didn't (well, where we live at least).

 

Then it was St. Patrick's Day and I got really into it for the first time ever in my life.  We made rainbow necklaces, a bin full of rainbow rice with toys to find, created all sorts of leprechaun mischief, and I let the boys eat Lucky Charms.  Not sure what came over me. 

Nana and Papa came to visit St. Patrick's Day weekend when the meteorologists (who, let's not forget, had recently, erroneously predicted a huge snowstorm would hit the DC area) predicted rain ALL WEEKEND, so we did indoor things like going to the Udvar Hazy part of the Air & Space Museum.  Had a lovely time but every time we passed a window we saw blue skies out there.  Why oh why do I check the weather?  

You might recognize the below space shuttle from one of my earlier posts where Owen and I saw it fly on top of a 747 around DC a while ago.  This is where it landed.

 

Jealous? Cause there's room for one more.

Spent some of spring break in Richmond (where, I did NOT listen to the weather ahead of time and was rewarded with 3 to 4 inches of snow and no snowgear) and Nancy and the boys came too.  Owen liked helping Sam play piano.

It's that time again!  Maybe even longer than last time?

So, another visit to the barbershop.
