Had a very nice weekend. Mike was on call but didn't have to work too late, fortunately, and we spent much of the weekend in Jacob's favorite place -- "outside". Spent the morning with Lyle (and his black eye), Eric, and Gabriel which was so much fun. So many boys! Then Jacob played with his new water table. I arrived home after running errands to find him with purple lips, completely wet clothes, goosebumps all over, and no interest in going inside.

And, it was just another uneventful dinner until Mike said
"just don't put it (sour cream) in your hair."

Gardening

This is what I came home to today...

Jacob's definition of a water can: 1) a great tool for getting wet quickly, 2) an oversized cup to drink from, and 3) something used to pour water on top of plants when one is outside.

We've been bambooed! Mike ...and Jacob... working hard to pull up bamboo roots that keep showing up in our backyard.

Weekend with Nana and Papa

Nana and Papa came to visit and spent the weekend with Jacob while Mike and I went to Easton and St. Michael's, MD for the night. While we know that Jacob loves his mom and dad and Nana, he makes no secret about who's number one in his book...Mark. In addition to his winning personality, Mark must sneak Jacob extra applesauce at all his meals when no one's looking.

Meanwhile just an hour and a half away...
out of sight out of mind (at least as long as Papa is around).

Richmond

Had a nice weekend in Richmond for Easter. Nancy, Steve and the boys were there too and Mary, Rick, Kathy, David, Larry, Janci, Brian and Kim all came over for a cookout. We spent just about the whole weekend outside; it was beautiful! Jacob got to feed the ducks around U of R's lake (when he wasn't eating the bread himself), draw with chalk on Memaw's sidewalk (and all over himself), loved hanging out with Sam and Anderson, and went on lots of walks.
