Corolla

It is with deep regret and a heavy heart that I announce that our vacation is over.

sigh.

Spent the week with Memaw, Aunt Nancy, Uncle Steve, Sam and Anderson in Corolla, NC and had such a great time. Jacob voices his displeasure frequently that we have gone back to reality and I can't say I don't encourage these outbursts.

Here are a few pictures from his first trip to the beach, his first meal of sand, and celebrating Memaw's birthday! 'til next time.

Big Changes

We started the week off finally settling on our "country" home. Even though we'll be living all the way out in the burbs now, I have already thought of a few things we're going to love about it: 1) going outside without always having to have a stroller with us (a yard! yahoo!); 2) spending lots of time in the neighborhood park that's just a couple blocks away; 3) having a guaranteed parking space that is right next to where we live; 4) and last but not least -- Jacob will finally have his own room. I can't tell you how excited he is about that ;o).

When we weren't at the house thinking of things like the above list, we spent the long weekend going to a nearby farmers market, and celebrating Lyle's first birthday. What a great weekend and Happy Birthday Lyle!!
