Richmond & Pumpkins

The boys carved our pumpkin in preparation for Halloween. We're hoping the squirrels don't ruin this masterpiece, but we're not holding our breath as there were already chew marks on it before we even started! Mike & Jacob provided the labor and Owen oversaw the operation.

Owen, Jacob & I also had a very nice visit with Memaw in Richmond. It was quite the adventure as I went all by myself with my two boys, but they did great! I was so proud.

So, that's what we've been up to the last couple weeks. I'll hopefully have pics of Jacob's new cousin, Avery, in the next edition of Shermantics. Can't wait to meet her!!!

Lazy weekend

Didn't do much this weekend. Mike and Jacob worked out in the yard (and got very dirty) and Owen practiced rolling over. Owen will be 4 months old this week; he rolls over from stomach to back, smiles all the time, babbles a lot, and loves to have people around.

Dreams Do Come True

Dreams do come true.

We spent the day at a local farm where we picked apples and Jacob chose our pumpkin. Then we learned the rescue squad was holding an open house down the street and next thing you know Jacob's touring an ambulance and sitting on a fire truck.

Oops, one day I'll remember I can't rotate a video in the editing process. It's sideways, but it's cute.
