Owen eating Avocado

I gave Owen avocado the other day, he really doesn't like it. Jacob watched the whole thing and developed the "Owen eating avocado" face. I wasn't able to capture Owen's actual expression on camera, but Jacob does a very good interpretation (it took some convincing to get him to stop spitting at the end):

Presidents' Day weekend

Speaking of Presidents... Jacob has a ruler with all the presidents on it (one of the perks of my job) and he would point to each asking their names. He got to James Madison and I told him "that's Madison" and he says... "no no no, Madison in New York" (woof woof).

This weekend was great because everyone was finally well - Yay! We visited the natural history museum (dinosaur bones!), ran along the Mall, played outside for hours, and hours, and hours, and then after that a few more hours. Fun times and definitely looking forward to Spring!

Also, I gave Owen his first haircut! It wasn't easy, but his "mohawk" was out of control so something had to be done. It was no small feat, and he looks so mature now... like he's at least 10 months old. The back still has a little patch that sticks straight up, nothing a little mousse can't fix.

Valentine's Day & Owen Eats an O

My boys got me cupcakes for Valentine's Day this year.

Jacob will be 2.5 later this month. He really likes to talk, he's very expressive, has loads of ideas, is slightly on the bossy side, still loves water and being outside (no matter the weather), is very observant and seems to have a real good memory, he loves to read books (his favorite right now is The Giving Tree), and he'll do anything to try and convince you that he doesn't need sleep or rest. Gotta love him.

Owen turned 8 months old on Sunday and he is quite a determined little fellow. He seems to really know what he wants and if you can't figure it out within ... oh ... say, 1 second, you'll hear about it. He's very sweet, loves his brother, loves company, is an early to bed/early to riser, can already hold his own bottle, rolls all over the place, sits quite well, loves to splash in the bath, and is very quick with his hands. Gotta love him too. And, we gave him cheerios this weekend.
