Blizzard 2016

This weekend took me back to when Jacob was just a year old and we found ourselves knee deep in snow, except one major difference this time around - we never lost power! So instead of worrying about all the wasted food in the fridge and plotting an escape plan we got to enjoy the snow and eat way too much food from the comfort of our heated home. Ahhhh.

I am thrilled to report that Amelia face planted in the snow and while she didn't laugh about it, there weren't tears either. Tough chickadee.

Christmas Holiday - 2015

And then, it was Christmas. Since we never made it to visit Santa this year, here's everyone in their Christmas best.

 Amelia's dress is particularly special to Memaw since both Nancy and I wore it as babies.

Next we headed south for a road trip to good old North Carolina to see our friend Rae who recently moved to Chapel Hill. It rained for about a week straight over the holidays, but for the 24 hours we were back in our old college towns it stopped so we could tour around both a little bit. That was nice of the weather. 

 I get the sense Amelia's not so fond of group pics.

 

We got to see some of the Duke basketball players while we were stalking Cameron stadium, freshman Justin Robinson is featured here. If you're wondering, he's 6'9".

Mike hung out in the car with Amelia while Jacob, Owen and I (literally) ran around NC State real quick, so, unfortunately, no pics.
